Salem’s annual “Winterfest Beach Bash” returns in February of 2026 with the always entertaining “Band of Oz”. The 2026 edition of this popular indoor beach party will take place on Friday, February 6, at 7 p.m. inside the Salem Civic Center arena. This is the 19th straight year that the Hall of Fame band has been selected to showcase it talents for this popular gathering, and this year’s concert is sponsored by Renewal by Andersen.
Tickets for the group’s appearance go on sale at 8 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, at the Salem Parks & Recreation Department, 620 Florida Street. Admission is $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the show or you can purchase a table of eight for just $80. Cash, check, or credit card will be accepted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays from December 16 - February 5. Doors will open at 6 p.m. on February 6 and the band will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Salem Penguin Club’s community service projects. The City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department is once again presenting the event. Coolers and outside food or drinks are not permitted inside the arena for this event. Concessions will be available, including beverages from P.A. Short.
The “Band of Oz” is a proud member of the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. The band was enshrined in 2016 along with The Avett Brothers, Kelly Pickler and The Carolina Chocolate Drops. The “Band of Oz” has been playing beach music at packed venues for nearly 60 years since 1967.
