Domino to Headline "Salem After Five" on July 22

The 2016 “Salem After Five” concert series is down to the final two events of the season. On Friday, July 22, one of the region’s favorites, Domino, performs on the Salem Farmers Market stage. The ultra-popular movie “Minions” - featuring the voices of Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm and Steve Carell will begin at dusk, around 9 p.m., and admission is absolutely free.

Salem Police Respond to Train and Truck Collision

On Tuesday, May 24, at 9:02 a.m., personnel from the Salem Police and Salem Fire and EMS Departments responded to the 1600 block of Apperson Drive in reference to a City of Salem garbage truck that had been struck by a Norfolk Southern freight train. The accident occurred at the crossing that is directly across the street from Margaret Lane.
