Painting a City

Some people may have noticed how nice Downtown Salem has been looking. Many buildings on Main Street have been receiving façade grants as part of the Downtown Plan. The artist behind the work is Robin Poteet. She has been working with the City of Salem and business owners to revive the Downtown area.

Poteet agreed to meet with us and talk about her work. She stated “It is wonderful to see my work come alive. Seeing more buildings take shape and develop is great. It is nice to have a thumbprint in downtown.” Her favorite project, so far, is Charlotte’s Web. “It was one of the first ones”, she said “it’s been fun to see how the owners took my designs and ran with them.” Poteet also enjoys working with Olde Salem Brewing because the architecture is so beautiful.

Any business should know that Poteet can work with any renovation budget. No matter how big or small the renovation is, she can work to make your business look the best. For 2018 she has been working on illustrations and wants to bring more color to Main Street.
