Coffee Buzz

With the light snow comes the reminder that winter is coming. Here is a list of all the places to warm up with a cup of coffee. It doesn’t matter if you drink coffee black, with cream and sugar, or blended with whipped cream on top we all need a little caffeine jolt to wake up. Salem is home to several places that serve delicious coffee.

Mill Mountain Coffee and Tea

Mill Mountain serves coffee with the option to add any flavoring. They also have seasonal flavors and an extensive tea menu.

Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread is a well-known bakery in the area that also serves local coffee, roasted in New Castle.

Champloo Desserts

Best known for their rolled ice cream, Champloo also has boba tea, coffee, and hot chocolates!

Dunkin Donuts

Visit Dunkin Donuts for a classic donut and coffee break.

O’Brien Meats

O’Brien Meats has been serving up lunch and fresh meat for a long time in Downtown Salem. Not everyone knows about their coffee. Those who know, know that it is some of the best.

The creator of the Pumpkin Spice Latte has two locations in Salem. One at Spartan Square and one at Lakeside Plaza.

I got the pleasure of talking to Gabe Tozar, manager of the Lakeside Plaza Starbucks. We talked about coffee and their business in Salem. Tozar said, “There are a lot of repeat customers and we love their support for our store. The people are nice and the area is great. Every year we see an increase in sales. We try to give back to the City of Salem with community service events.”
