Council Proclaims Constitution Week in Salem

September 17, 2022, marks the 235th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention. At Monday night’s City Council Meeting, Mayor Renee Turk and her fellow Council members welcomed the Ft. Lewis Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution to City Hall to properly mark this milestone. Mayor Turk presented the members with a proclamation declaring September 17-23 of this 2022 as Constitution Week in the City of Salem.
