Police Make Arrests in Delinquency Case

On Sunday, January 10, at approximately 3:40 a.m., the Salem Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Stonegate Drive in reference to a report of underage drinking. The complaint came from a juvenile female who told officers that she and several other juveniles were consuming alcohol that was being provided by adults, who also were present in the residence.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with two adults and several teenagers, between the ages of 15-and 17-years-old. Officers also observed various alcoholic beverage containers present inside the residence and they were able to determine that the juveniles had consumed alcohol inside the home. No medical attention was requested or needed.

After further investigation, Alan Criss, 51, of Salem and Jill Schroeder, 46, of Salem were each charged with five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The five juveniles present in the residence were each charged with underage possession of alcohol. All of the individuals were released on summons to appear in the City of Salem courts.
