City Council is Seeking School Board Candidates

Salem City Council is beginning the process of filling two Salem School Board seats that are set to expire at year's end. The current terms of Dr. Nancy Bradley and Teresa Sizemore-Hernandez expire on December 31, 2021 and Council is seeking citizens who would be interested in serving on the board. The terms are for three years and will begin on January 1, 2022.

The official legal announcement for this process can be found below, and anyone with questions can contact Laura Lea Harris, Salem's Deputy Clerk of Council, at 378-0172 or at Council will address these appointments and hear from candidates at a public hearing on Monday, September 13. Interested candidates are asked to submit a letter of interest by September 10, 2021.
