Scholarship
The City of Salem, Virginia Fine Arts Commission will award four scholarships in the amount of $1000 each to an area high school senior to pursue a college education in the visual or performing arts. Each scholarship is to be used towards fine arts class fees or tuition and will be paid to the college, university, or accredited school of the fine arts of the recipient’s choice.
The members of the Salem Fine Arts Commission of Salem, Virginia will choose the winners of the scholarships. In the event a winner does not make claim of the scholarship within 2 years, the scholarship will be deemed void.
The winners will be announced at the 2008 Dessert with the Arts at Salem High School . Each winner MUST attend a Salem Fine Arts Commission banquet honoring the chosen winners. Each recipient may be asked to present his or her art talent at the banquet.
