Navigation
The city's home page is divided into three major navigational sections: the top navigation bar, left-side link menu, and bottom link menu.
The navigation bar, which runs horizontally across the top of the page, contains broad informational categories such as city job listings, news and and government links. The top section also contains the search box, and a drop down list of frequently accessed areas of the site.
The left-side link menu, which is not on every page, contains links specific to the section of the site you are visitiing.
The bottom navigational links run horizontally across each page and contain links back to the home page, site map, contact information and terms of use & privacy information. The Site Map link at the bottom of the page works like a table of contents. The Site Search at the top right is also useful if you're having trouble finding something on our web site.
You may return to the home page at any time by selecting the home link at the top or bottom of any page on the site or by clicking on the City Logo in the top left hand corner.

Plug-Ins/Tools
The city web site contains files that require a plug-in. A plug-in is a software program that lets you view, and in some cases print files. A plug-in works like an addition to your web browser program. If you click on a link to a file requiring a plug-in, and the file fails to display on your screen or gives you an error message, then you probably don't have the plug-in installed on your PC.
Adobe Acrobat files or portable document format files are all identifiable by the Adobe Acrobat graphic and a .PDF extention. Many documents and forms on the city's web site require this plug-in in order to view or print. The Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in is available to download for free at: http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html.

Several features on Real Estate Property Search system use popup pages (new windows that display on top of the existing window) to display information, this includes the print and help features. If you are having trouble accessing any features on this system, please try the following steps to resolve the problem. First make sure you are not blocking popups through your internet service provider. Several of the larger providers, such as AOL, allow you to block popup pages. Also certain downloadable toolbars, such as the google.com search toolbar have a popup blocking feature that will need to be disabled on this site. Please access the provider documentation for specific information on disabling these features. Another common problem occurs if you have a personal firewall on your computer. The firewall may also block the popup pages and/or may not allow you to see these pages because the site isn't included in your trusted resources. You will need to consult the documentation for your personal firewall to allow the popups and/or add this site to your trusted resources. If you are having trouble accessing the pages using Outlook Explorer please use Internet Explorer or Netscape instead.
