Salem Farmer's Market

Salem Farmer's MarketWelcome back to another season on the market! We are very excited about this upcoming year. Not only do we have our “seasoned” vendors back, but we are excited about some new faces that will be showing up on the market! This year we have signed on more organic produce farmers, more farm fresh egg vendors, more baked goods vendors, and have requests for information from many more potential vendors. As usual, we are looking for more ways to make our market’s offerings even better for you. If you have any suggestions of items that you would like to see on the market, please give Alice our market manager a call
at 375-4098.

The Salem Farmer's Market is located in the heart of Salem's downtown district on the corner of Main Street and Broad Street. Because of the city's location along the rich bottomland soils of the Roanoke River and the fertile surrounding areas, local farmers have always been able to provide some of the area's finest produce for their customers.

In an effort to provide a more convenient location for local farmers to sell their products, the City of Salem constructed the Salem Market in 1992. Since then, the facility and its vendors have proven to be a valuable asset to the downtown economy. Special events are held throughout the season which promote the market, its vendors, and the downtown in general. Fresh produce, home-baked goodies, fresh cut flowers, honey, eggs, greenery, jams, and jellies are just a few of the things that we offer shoppers. Our farmers pride themselves on bringing the best of the country to the City!
